Hello!
What an amazing new world. Just two weeks ago, Rob and I closed out our 10 pm newscast and I headed home, fully expecting to return to work Sunday as usual. That plan changed just days later, January 30th, when my husband and I welcomed our son and first child into the world, Easton Lee.

Life as we knew it has completely changed!! For starters, I’ll be away from the anchor desk for the next two months to focus on being a Momma. In the meantime, I’ll be writing! I’ve started this blog, Anchor’s Away!, to keep in touch while I’m at home. I hope you enjoy my stories about our little man as he grows and changes, and whatever other random thoughts are on my mind each time I sit down at my computer. You’ve been warned!! 🙂
As I sign off, I MUST thank everyone–SO VERY MUCH–for the kind words, messages, emails and comments about our beautiful baby. My husband and I feel so incredibly blessed to not only have a healthy, happy baby boy in our lives, but to also have so many wonderful people to share in our happiness. To our family and friends, to our co-workers, and to so many amazing KETV viewers–THANK YOU!!

Congrats!! I’m lovin’ your warm and comical approach to Motherhood! It reminds me of my time with my little ones soooo long ago. (Well, not really–mine are 11 & 13 now–but it seems like forever ago.) Enjoy your time off…U will love being a Mommy!

Im sure you’ve heard the same thing over an over so I’ll spare you.Lol I just a had a baby boy the 6th of January so were not to far apart. I also have a 2 year old. So I think having a little guy is probably on of the most greatest accomplishments you can do. Its only just begone for you. Wait tell he calls you MommY or says I love you. You will melt all over again. Everyday is a gift to you, so enjoy him little, because soon he hits two and boy your in for it. Hide all you breakables! LOL Cant wait to read more of your blogs.Its always a nice reminder of what I felt the first time around. God bless you and your family.
