Wife. Mother. Storyteller. Work In Progress.
Brandi (Petersen) Paul is a former television news anchor with KETV-Newswatch 7, currently the Director of Communications and Engagement for Westside Community Schools. Brandi, a proud Papillion native, graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln while working at KETV, Omaha’s top-ranked ABC affiliate. As an award-winning journalist nominated for three regional Emmy Awards, Brandi covered historic events across Nebraska and Iowa, secured high-profile interviews with President Barack Obama and Ebola Virus survivor Dr. Rick Sacra, and traveled to La Paz, Mexico to produce a documentary chronicling the work of a Nebraska medical team. Brandi’s work in 2014 profiling a paralyzed bride walking down the aisle was featured around the world and has been viewed more than 5 million times online. Brandi continues to tell stories at Westside, one of Nebraska’s premiere public school districts providing exceptional learning opportunities for students in Omaha.
Brandi is host of GoOmaha! on Cox YurView and continues to emcee events across the Omaha metro area. She is a self-described ‘work in progress’, dedicated to living a healthier lifestyle and hoping to inspire others to do the same. She loves to read and is an avid baseball fan (always cheering for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Atlanta Braves!) Her most cherished moments are any spent with her husband, Brian, and their two little boys.
